Jeremy Poou-Caceres, of the Chillum area, was fatally struck by a stray bullet at a Langley Park apartment complex around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, Daily Voice reported.

The boy's mother was also shot during the incident, but her injuries were considered non-life-threatening.

Jeremy had turned two years old on Friday, Jan. 12, according to a GoFundMe launched for his funeral costs.

“Jeremy was a child so full of joy and love,” reads the campaign. “He was always so well behaved, and he loved watching cocomelon.”

More than $6,300 had been raised as of Wednesday, Feb. 14.

Meanwhile, Lewisdale residents Israel Fuentes, Jr., 33, and Johnny Alejandro Turcios, 28, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder and other offenses shortly after the incident. Two others are wanted for questioning.

“A boy who was just starting to live his life loses it to gang violence,” the campaign says.

“I know it’s a lot to ask but please anything you can give would be greatly appreciated. Rest in Peace Jeremy.”
